Understanding Known Shipper Status

A Known Shipper is an individual or organization authorized to transport goods on passenger aircraft. We require all our customers to be Known Shippers to comply with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations, with a few exceptions.

Exceptions to Known Shipper Requirements

You do not need Known Shipper status if your shipment falls into one of the following categories:

• It weighs less than 16 oz.
• It can be transported entirely on freight flights.
• It is a live animal.

How We Approve Known Shippers

Our TSA-approved Known Shipper program includes a comprehensive review process to ensure all shippers meet required standards before approval. Our IAC status allows us access to TSA’s known shipper program and we can make our customers a known-shipper in the TSA system.
